Up against the ropes, waiting for the bell
Thanks for the well wishes on Friday. I shudder to think what might have happened with out those good vibes. In the end, I lost rounds 2 & 3 to my car last weekend.
I decided to treat myself to a goodwill lunch. Something nicer than the crap in the cafeteria, and to smooth the bad news of the day.
On the way back, some dude in an 87 Porsche rear ended me at a red light. No serious damage to my car, some scrapes and scratches mostly. My neck is a bit stiff, most notably when I drive. His car was smushed pretty good.
As if that wasn't good enough on Saturday my car decided to assert its authority. It managed to corrode through a freeze plug and leak coolant all over the damn place. In front of Heather's house. They already think my car's a piece of crap and I wish it hadn't decided to confirm their suspicions.
It was an easy fix; insert screw to plug hole, refill with water, drive home, let engine cool, drain engine, knock out old plug, buy new plug, insert new plug, refill with water.
Total cost: $1.50 and my pride.
P.S. The work issue is unresolved at this point.
