Drinks on Top

Omar and I stopped and had our first drink of the day at the Signature Lounge on top of the Hancock Building.

Then at Sluggers in Wrigleyville, then Fauerbach Amber's at the Millennium Park Grill, then some wine while 'listening' to the orchestra in Millennium Park, and then some beers and a carbomb at The Gage on Michigan accross from the park...

Seeing that boy is always fun for my liver.  Good times...

Odd Dynamics

I recently noticed that Heather and I have an odd dynamic when it comes to sharing books. It popped up when she mentioned that she was hating a book I lent her. I too was having trouble with a book she had lent me. It turns out, we gave each other books we hate among a few favorites.

Each book was something we were required to read for some class or another, and was appropriately hated. But why share it if it was so horrible?

Based on the fact that it it wasn't done on purpose my best guess is the bad book exchange was done as a subconscious test. Even though we've been dating for years, we're still learning new things about each other.

It's just weird is all.

Testament of Time

testament of time

Zooomr is back up. And it is amazing. Much thanks to Kristopher Tate, Thomas Hawk, Zoho, Sun, Dell, [hide] and everybody else who helped.

Much love to Zoho!

It's amazing what happens in times of need. Amongst the people listening to Zooomr's problems were a few willing to help. The Sun reps in Zooomr's area responded quickly. Micheal Dell personally opened a help ticket to get the old server fixed. One of the evangelists from Microsoft even offered help.

The most amazing story has to be the help that Raju and his company Zoho. They've moved Zooomr into their data center, sticking with Kristopher Tate (CTO) to get the servers relocated, and have offered a lot of help during this tough time.

I can't thank them enough.

Zooomr and it's community has become incredibly important to me (I've donated a large chunk of money I don't really have to help out) and each bit of help we receive is personal. So if there's anything we (as a community) can do to thank our benefactors?.. You just have to ask.
